Various Artists – The Beast 666

Enter a mysterious realm with the classic Nekrophile Rekords compilation “The Beast 666.” A truly legendary release, we discuss all the details and references with the titles, cover art and more. Assume the entry pose and let the sea of Cefalu wash over your mind’s landscape. “The Beast 666” is one of the great artifacts of the industrial underground.

In Conversation with Zoe DeWitt (Zero Kama, Korpses Katatonik, Nekrophile Rekords)

Zoe DeWitt is a bona fide legend of industrial culture and ritual underground. We were thrilled for Zoe to sit down with us to discuss the entire history of Nekrofile Records and her projects Korpses Katatonik and Zero Kama. We get into many aspects of her work, from musical output to fashioning instruments out of human bones to her work within the occult and much more.

In Conversation with Fennesz

Christian Fennesz joins us today for a fantastic discussion. It’s the 25th anniversary of his first album “Hotel Paral.lel” so we take a look back at those early days, from meeting Peter Rehberg and how radical using a computer was, to his recent work and what it’s like being back in a bedroom studio. We were very grateful to get to talk to Fennesz and get a perspective from one of the stalwarts of Mego and 90s experimental computer sound.

Hermann Nitsch (with guest Ryan Martin)

Ryan Martin joins us to pay tribute to Hermann Nitsch, who passed away April 18, 2022. Ryan met Nitsch a few times and tells us an incredible story of him and Genesis P-Orridge getting to visit Hermann at the Prinzendorf Castle. We discuss all aspects of his work and how his way of living life intensely can act as an inspiration to us all.

Fennesz – Endless Summer

June is calling so we thought it would be a great time to cover “Endless Summer” by Fennesz. It’s our first time highlighting a Mego album and this seminal disc is a fantastic marker of a particular branch of noise sounds. Melodic guitar swims under broken computer sounds and we are washed away in its waves. Note: apologies for some mic crackle and distortion on this episode.
