Cock E.S.P. – Greatest Dicks

We start off 2023 discussing some very serious noise artists with Cock E.S.P. “Greatest Dicks”” from 1996 on the one and only Pure. We get appropriately foul and dirty while discussing one of the most seminal, deep thinking and intelligent noise bands of all time. Cock E.S.P. mean it this time and they are definitely making it their business. Happy New Cock Noise Year!

MSBR – Destructive Locomotion

A new year should only begin with a classic and that’s what we had searing through the speakers with MSBR “Destructive Locomotion (Dedicated to Chizuo Matsumoto)” on Pure. Chizuo Matsumoto was known to the world as Shoko Asahara, the leader of Aum Shinrikyo. This is a noise/true crime episode, in the vein our Murder Series episodes, as we dig into this incredible album as a background to the story of Aum Shinrikyo and Tokyo sarin subway attacks.

Knurl – Nervescrap

The Pure series strikes again with Knurl “Nervescrap.” To-the-point noise from north of the border courtesy of this long running project. Get trashy, get junky, and tear metal to shreds. Will you make it across the border? Cranking this CD will certainly help.

Dead Body Love – Maximum Dose

The Pure series enters our ears again in the harshest way possible with Dead Body Love “Maximum Dose.” Mike attempts to turn it down, Tara scolds Mike and won’t let him, and Greh runs his girlfriend out of the room. These are all proper reactions to this slice of 90s Italian noise, courtesy of the most important series in noise.

Rend – Proberta Gerber

It is time for another entry in the Pure series as we dig into one of the more obscure titles under the Pure banner in the form of Rend “Proberta Gerber.” We were able to get in touch with Sean, the man behind Rend, and he provided us with some great information not only on this CD, but also on his work with the Plague in Perspective label. No time like now to dig deep and get washed away by Rend.

Murder Corporation – New Crimes

We’re back in Pure-land and back in Italy for Murder Corporation’s “New Crimes” CD. Culled from an insanely limited 8 tape box set, the CD represents a  perfectly distilled version of a staggering piece of work. Moreno Daldosso, the man behind Murder Corporation, was kind enough to answers some questions that we sent him, and we relay his answers throughout the episode. Open the vents and let the death wind in.

Deathpile – Ne Plus Ultra

Time for another album in the Pure series, and this one is thick and heavy. Deathpile’s “Ne Plus Ultra” sends us inside ourselves as we explore the heart and blood of this monumental CD. Longtime favorite of all three of the crew, Deathpile delivers the goods with this unique and stand out record. We talked to Jonathan Canady and relay what he had to say about this album as well as the beginnings of Deathpile.

Zone Nord – Roferon A

It’s our first foray into RRR’s Pure series as we head over to France for Zone Nord’s “Roferon A” album. We get down in the dirt with this obscure project, discuss early experiences calling RRRecords, and Tara espouses some noise show wisdom.
